One of my closest friends lives in Birmingham and every few months we catch up down my way or up her’s. This month, it was my turn to visit Caz and we decided to have an afternoon tea at The Malmaison.
We felt so classy!
Once we had the menus in hand, it didn’t take much time to settle on the Cocktail Afternoon Tea Menu.
When the food arrived, we took a break from chatting to admire the beautifully laid out tiered stand that held our delicacies.
Malmaison boast on providing afternoon tea with a twist and it certainly delivered! There were wraps, mini burgers, passionfruit Pavlovas, salted caramel chocolate brownies, mixed berry smoothies and more.
The whole thing was delectable! It was also surprisingly filling and we couldn’t even finish our scones! But luckily, the kind restaurant staff wrapped them in foil for us to take home.
The food also complimented our drinks perfectly! Caz had a Hendrick’s G&T and I went for a Nutty 43; which went down extremely well. So much so, that we decided to have another!
By the time we has finished, we were suitably full, content and comfy. Because of this, we decided to stay for another drink. To stay with our set trend, we both ordered Clover Club cocktails. Just like the previous two drinks, this cocktail went down a treat!
After another hour or so, we headed back to her flat for a wine and horror film evening – our little tradition.
We had a lovely & delicious day in Birmingham and it was wonderful to see my friend for a catch up.
