Greenwich Village & New York Public Library

After a decent lie in and another hearty breakfast, our first port of call was Greenwich Village. More importantly, the ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.‘ apartment located on the corner of 90 Bedford Street and Grove Street.

This iconic building is well-known for being the exterior of Monica, Rachel, Joey and Chandler’s apartment building in the funny T.V. show.

With that location ticked off, we walked through the drizzle to the next port of call: the ‘Ghostbusters‘ fire station.

The fire station is found on the corner of 14 North Moore Street and Varick Street and with it’s signage and memorabelia, it’s hard to miss!

After walking all morning, we needed to get some energy and Chinatown was the place to get it. Truth be told, Chinatown was not at all what we expected and slightly disappointing. Regardless of this, we fought our way down the busy streets and finally found a small restaurant that served up traditional Chinese dinners.

With bellies full of noodles, we headed back to the middle of the city. We soon found a nice, but eye-wateringly expensive, cocktail restaurant to shelter us from the winter rain outside.

Once the weather had settled, we popped in to the New York Public Library for a while.

As you can see from the photos, the library was absolutely beautiful! We were in awe as we wandered between the rooms, constantly gazing at the intricate designs of the ceilings. It was stunning.

It was a slightly more relaxed day, but brilliant nonetheless! I especially enjoyed Greenwich Village in the morning!
