A couple of months ago, another May Bank Holiday weekend came rolling around – where is the time going?! And in keeping with tradition, some friends and I spent the long weekend by the Cornish coast.
For the first Bank Holiday in May, Dave and I headed to North Cornwall and Devon for a weekend by the coast with friends.
On the morning of our last day in Cornwall for the Bank Holiday, my friends & I decided to go to Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay. Our group takes the trip down south every May but have never actually visited the aquarium. This year, that was rectified!
The May Bank Holiday is one of the best weekends in the year. What started off as attending the ‘Run to the Sun‘ Festival, has now turned in to an annual camping trip to Newquay with a bunch of friends. The past couple of years have been so much fun; check out the photos here
I am very much the serial planner in mine and Dave’s relationship; so for New Year, I asked Dave to book/organise something for us to do. After a couple of months of gently reminding – and annoying – him, he admitted that he and our friend, Carl, had booked a weekend away and that Jodie (Carl’s girlfriend)

Dave & I bought our first house last year and because of this – especially the saving that needed to done beforehand – we skipped having a holiday abroad. Instead, we took some delightful mini-breaks to Cornwall, Devon and Wales. This year, however, we made sure we could fit in a city break away and
April 2018 marked three years that Dave and I have been together and to celebrate, we booked a weekend camping in South Devon.
Last year, our men did so well to surprise Jodie and me with a weekend away in Cornwall for New Year that naturally, we had some living up to do. Therefore, along with the third in our trio, Nikki, we treated the boys to a weekend away in Ceredigion, Wales.
