On a hot day in May, I met with two friends, Jodie and Nikki, and we went for a walk on the National Trust’s trail along the Ley Line from Upton House and Gardens in Warwickshire.
A catch up with my girlfriends was long overdue, so we decided to rectify that with a day in Gloucester, Gloucestershire.
Last year, our men did so well to surprise Jodie and me with a weekend away in Cornwall for New Year that naturally, we had some living up to do. Therefore, along with the third in our trio, Nikki, we treated the boys to a weekend away in Ceredigion, Wales.
Last weekend found me and two friends, Jodie and Nikki, in chilly London. The day trip had one main purpose: to watch ‘Beauty & the Beast‘ – the original is my all-time favourite film – with the Philharmonia Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.
If you’re a follower of my blog, you’ll know that my two friends – Jodie and Nikki – and I meet up regularly for cake dates and catch ups. Every time we do, we talk about getting fitter but never actually do anything about it. Until now… We’ve decided to hike up Mount Snowdon next year!
The Spring weather this year has been glorious so far! Therefore, to make the most of this unexpected sun, my friends and I spent the day exploring some of the picturesque villages in The Cotswolds.
Every few months, two of my girlfriends and I like to meet up to have a long catch up and eat cake; which consequently, we have now dubbed as our ‘cake dates’. For the first cake date of 2016, we decided to head to Café au Chocolat in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.
