Winter is finally waving goodbye and spring is popping up to say hello – hurrah! With Spring being my Mum’s favourite season and Snowdrops one of her favourite flowers, we decided to take a trip to see the beautiful display at the Painswick Rococo Gardens, Gloucestershire.
Have you ever heard of Weston-Super-Mare’s Carnival? I hadn’t. But after some of my family went last year and came back raving about it, I know I’d have to go to the next one. Fast forward a year and I’m very glad that I tagged along!
Here are some of the photographs from Katie’s wonderful baby shower.
“Go Grease Lightnin’, you’re burning up the quarter-mile…!” It’s a film we all know and love. Combining romance, drama, racing and humour, this film oozes warmth and good feeling. Therefore, when my Mum, Auntie and I found out that ‘Grease’ was going to be shown at a drive-in in Gloucestershire, we booked tickets straight away!
My Mum & I have been trying to see the The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company’s flower fields in Wick, Worcestershire for a few years now. But for one reason & another, we’ve always missed them.
Today’s post is a bit different to what was initially thought. The original plan was to share some photographs from a Mother’s Day trip to Batsford Arboretum but unfortunately, my Mum was too unwell and we had to postpone. This meant I was left with a sunny day and nothing to do.
What could put you more in the mood for Winter than a cold, crisp evening in an Arboretum, with children’s laughter in the air, a hot chocolate in hand and surrounded by an array of trees lit up in beautiful colours?
Yes, there is such a thing! The World Bog Snorkelling Championships takes place on the August Bank Holiday in Llanwrtyd Wells and this year, Nick – my Mum’s partner and the one in the Hulk suit – and some friends decided to give this mad-sounding challenge a shot.
Recently my Auntie came to visit and along with my Mum, her other half and my niece, we met at the National Trust’s Croome Court for a well overdue catch up and walk.
