Treasure Trails’ Gloucester City & Docks
My family & I did something a little different last Sunday. We became pirates & went on a Treasure Trails’ Treasure Hunt around Gloucester City & it’s Historic Docks.
All of us had high hopes that it’d be an enjoyable day after doing a fun Spy Trail in the Forest of Dean a few years ago. We weren’t wrong!
The steps in the booklet were pretty easy to follow & clues were interesting. We started at Pitt Street, looped around the Cathedral before heading to the Docks. From there, we walked around to the shops & ended back where we started.
There were works going on in the Cathedral grounds but even with this disruption, the Cathedral looked as grand as ever.
As is customary on a family outing, we took a quick pit stop at Hubble Bubble Coffee House for cake & coffee. The slice of Millionaire’s Shortbread Dave & I ordered went down extremely well. Especially with the impressive presentation!
The interiors were rather quirky also & the ambience was very pleasant. We loved it!
Treasure Trails offer three types of trails: treasure hunts, spy trails & murder mysteries, all across the U.K.
While we raced around to find clues & explore, we learnt about the local history & discovered hidden gems of the city. The Gloucester Docks were looking particularly stunning.
It was exciting to search & find answers to the clues. Because of this, it felt a bit like we were kids again!
Once the puzzles were solved & trail completed, our final answer was entered online with hopes to win the monthly prize draw. But unfortunately, we got it completely wrong. Oops!!
Despite this, it was great fun exploring one of our local cities & we would definitely recommend Treasure Trails!
