Cheltenham Paint Festival, Gloucestershire
If you live in or around Cheltenham in Gloucestershire, you may have noticed a lot of graffiti popping up around town in aid of Cheltenham’s Paint Festival. One lunchtime, I walked up the Honeybourne Line to catch more of a glimpse of what had been going on.
The artwork was insane. The artists are incredibly talented and the succession of pieces along the old bridges were amazing.
There were stencils from John Doe..
An alien Whale from Massive Face Art…
Famous faces from MRG Art…
Hungry chameleons from The Stencil Shed (one of my favourites!)…
Graffiti Girls from Andy Dice Davies…
Sketchy faces from Rob Jackson stencils…
An intergalactic lady from Vanesa Longchamp…
Even an ode to Cheltenham from Georgie Artist…
Along with a few other random pieces…
Finishing off with the most incredible wall mural from My Dog Sighs at the University of Gloucestershire’s Hardwick Campus. I stood in amazement for ages and looking back at the photos now, still am in awe!
The detail was spell-binding and on such a big scale! It was fascinating.
There were also little spots of nature along the way, which made for a refreshing lunchtime stroll – would this really be my post without any nature photos thrown in?!
It was great to walk the route and to feel a part of something a bit different and special.
There are still plenty of graffiti artworks around town for the Cheltenham Paint Festival, so be sure to go and check them out!
