Every year, we head over to The Angel Inn Hotel at Pershore in Worcestershire for their Bonfire Night and Fireworks event and every time, it’s excellent. This year – yep, you guessed it! – was no different.
For just £4 for adults and £2 for children, this event is a bargain! There’s a bar selling a whole variety of tasty beverages (including The Angel’s very own Wobbly Angel Ale and Tipsy Angel Cider), a crackling fire, a fireworks display, hot and cold food stands, live music and even a bouncy castle!
I don’t know about you but standing next to a huge, roaring bonfire with a cup of delicious Mulled Cider, is definitely a place I like to be in at the beginning of November. It feels like the start of Winter!
Once our group had caught up and gotten warm – very warm, in fact! – out came the sparklers. If I ever want to take a trip down Nostalgia Lane, sparklers are the way to go. They’re always so much fun and great to photograph.
I snapped away whilst my friends made pretty patterns of sparkle in the night air.
Although not all the patterns were pretty…boys will be boys (at least Jodie tried to keep it clean!)!!
I then gave the camera over and had some fun myself!
Once the sparklers had gone, we got in to prime position for the fireworks and waited patiently for the show to begin.
And what a show it was!
The fireworks display was excellent and worth the entry fee alone! They went on for a good 20 minutes, all backed with timed music. It was brilliant!
As the fireworks came to an end, we meandered back towards the fire for one final warming session before leaving.
It was a great night and The Angel Inn Hotel didn’t disappoint, as always. Roll on next year’s event already!
