Clive’s of Cropthorne’s Pumpkin Patch
Throughout my childhood, I went fruit picking at Clive’s Fruit Farm near Upton-Upon-Severn with my mum, brother and grandparents. It was always a lot of fun and was just as good when we visited a couple of years ago too. So when my hairdresser – the lovely Sophie at Rage Hair in Tewkesbury – told me that Clive’s was opening up a pumpkin patch at Cropthorne, I knew I had to go!
As Mum and I had already spent a very autumnal morning with a walk at Batsford Arboretum, Sunday was the perfect opportunity to pay Clive’s of Cropthorne a visit.
We arrived early afternoon and met Jodie before heading straight for the café. Unfortunately, we had turned up after the lunchtime rush and there was no cake left! But that didn’t stop us from enjoying a sweet and delicious Pumpkin Spiced Latte in the sunshine instead.
Once caught up and had drunk our coffee, we headed out in to the pumpkin patch. The seasonal fruit completely covered the field. It looked brilliant!
We wandered up and down the rows, hunting for different pumpkins and admiring the sea of orange. Although busy, we still managed to enjoy a peaceful few minutes amongst the pumpkin patch.
Feeling pumpkin-ed out, we then had a quick look at the gorgeous farm shop on site, before heading home.
All in all, it was the perfect autumn Sunday and one I will have to repeat in future!
With Halloween approaching, Clive’s of Cropthorne’s pumpkin patch the perfect place to go! Take children to pick our their spooky pumpkins or simply buy some to add autumn touches to the home. And if you don’t get a chance to visit this season, make sure to pencil it in for next year!
