Amy Walks: Eckington Circular

On a recent sunny Sunday, Dave and I picked up Dave’s parents’ dog, Pepper, and took her for a short, but beautiful, circular walk at Eckington, Worcestershire.

We parked up at the extremely busy bridge car park. We were chuffed to have taken my Fiat 500, which we’d managed to squeeze into the last tiny spot available. Carefully crossing the road, we started down the path winding by the River Avon. We passed through gates to different fields and admired the river-side views. Pepper, who has never seemed that bothered about being in water, even had a quick dip to try and cool off! If only we could have done that too!! We soon left the river behind and followed the quiet country road all the way around to Eckington. After a quick stroll past dreamy houses and mentally working out how much they would be to buy, we headed back to the car.

It was a lovely walk, coming in at just over three and half miles long and with some wonderful views. In the heat, it felt like a pretty decent stomp and Pepper seemed to enjoy herself as well! If you’re planning this walk, I’d suggest getting to the car park early, otherwise you may struggle!

Here are some of the top images from our Eckington walk, enjoy!
